For us, that moment came six years ago, on a quiet afternoon walk, when we crossed paths with a tiny, ginger-colored kitten by the side of the road. She was curious, playful, and instantly stole our hearts.

We didn’t think twice. We brought her home.

Little did we know, that small decision would change our lives — and eventually lead to the creation of ThePawzo.

From Chance Encounter to Family Member

Our new little friend quickly became more than a pet — she was family. With her playful jumps, curious eyes, and affectionate cuddles, she lit up every corner of our home. There was never a dull moment.

But not long after, we ran into a challenge we hadn’t anticipated.

The Hidden Struggle Behind Pet Parenthood

My partner started sneezing. A lot.

At first, we brushed it off. But soon, the symptoms worsened — sneezing, itchy eyes, and persistent rhinitis, especially in the bedroom and on the couch. The culprit? Cat hair. Tiny, clingy, ever-present.

Suddenly, the joy of having a pet came bundled with a new daily routine: cleaning.
And not the quick, wipe-and-go kind.

We tried everything — lint rollers, brushes, vacuums — but most tools were either hard to use, time-consuming, or simply ineffective. We’d spend hours each week trying to clean fur from bedding, sofas, curtains, and clothes. I was constantly tired, constantly frustrated.
